Dolly Everett was a kind, caring and talented young girl who loved her friends, her animals and her family. Dolly was subject to an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying which started a conversation about the devasting impact of bullying across Australia.
Dolly’s parents, Tick and Kate, founded Dolly’s Dream to act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Today, Dolly’s Dream is changing the culture of bullying by raising awareness, promoting kindness, and providing support for young people and their families.

In support of this foundation and to contribute to uphold the legacy of kindness and change we will be donating all match fees, donations and funds raised through raffles to the Dolly’s Dream foundation on the Charity rounds held for BDNA on Thursday 6th and Saturday 8th May.

On the day we will have butterflies for the kids to write affirmations of kindness which will be displayed at the stadium, a colouring competition, holding raffles, a lolly jar guessing game and offering blue ribbons for the girls to wear in their hair (as per previous Charity round days).

In preparation for the day, we are requesting all clubs, coaches, team managers and members to review the Dolly Dream website and encourage them to develop awareness around the legacy and the meaning of the day –
to build a world where kindness is stronger than bullying.
